Bethesda Softworks Announces Wolfenstein:The New Order

Call of Duty fans are set to receive another premium offering of Downloadable Content (DLC) with Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising on 17 April. The game’s second, epic DLC pack of the year from award-winning studio Treyarch and Activision Publishing, Inc., will be available first, exclusively on Xbox LIVE for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft beginning on 17 April, with other platforms to follow.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising will include four new exotic multiplayer maps, plus an exciting new Zombies experience called Mob of the Dead that takes players to Alcatraz with four of the actors behind some of Hollywood’s most iconic mobsters, including Ray Liotta, Chazz Palminteri, Joe Pantoliano and Michael Madsen.
“With Uprising, the team has really outdone itself again,” said Mark Lamia, Treyarch’s Studio Head. “In addition to creating four amazing new multiplayer maps, the Studio has been hard at work on the Zombies front to surpass what we accomplished with Call of the Dead. What they’ve done this time around is nothing Zombies fans have seen before - and if you don’t believe me, just wait until you get into Purgatory.”
Following tradition of the original Call of Duty: Black Ops fan-favourite Zombies mode Call of the Dead, Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising’s wildly creative new Mob of the Dead Zombies experience finds the four prohibition-era mobsters, Billy Handsome (Liotta), Al ‘The Weasel’ Arlington (Pantoliano), Salvatore ‘Sal’ DeLuca (Palmentiri), and Michael ‘Finn’ O’Leary (Madsen) serving time in Alcatraz Prison, only to discover that being behind bars is the least of their problems. With plans to break out of Alcatraz foiled by the rise of the undead, the quartet of inmates will have to lean on their mob-derived skills with firearms, blunt instruments and improvised weaponry as they battle the zombies infesting and overrunning the island.
In order to survive, players must work their way through the steel cells and aging concrete buildings while fighting off a multitude of zombified prisoners and guards trapped on the island with them. Additionally, if a player becomes an unfortunate victim, Mob of the Dead’s new feature known as Purgatory sends players into the afterlife. This new twist on Zombies gameplay is ripe with its own set of objectives and offers fans a truly new and unique experience.
Uprising also delivers another four new, exotic and diverse multiplayer maps set around the globe for fans to jump into. Magma is a modern Japanese village with volcanic eruptions carving multiple paths throughout the town. Encore takes place in the aftermath of a deserted London music festival and leaves numerous opportunities for run-and-gun, close quarters combat. Vertigo is a futuristic high rise in India housing a high-tech lab featuring dizzying vistas and multi-tiered pathways. Finally, Studio is a contemporary remake of Firing Range, a fan-favourite multiplayer map from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops. Studio is a Hollywood movie back lot with a variety of cinematic themes that range from Sci-Fi to the Old West.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising will be available first, exclusively on Xbox LIVE for 1200 Microsoft Points on 17 April. The Uprising DLC Map Pack is also included in the Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC Season Pass, where fans can purchase all four epic DLC Map Packs planned for the year, and also receive the Nuketown Zombies bonus map, and an exclusive in-game calling card as part of the discounted bundle offered at a suggested retail price of $69.95RRP / 4000 Microsoft Points - a discount of 800 Microsoft Points off the individual purchase of all four DLC Map Packs.

Gears of War: Judgement - Launch Events and Bonus Items

THE GEARS REAPER EVENT:
This weekend during SXSW, Epic Games PR Manager Wes Phillips revealed the Epic Reaper character from Gears of War: Judgment during a panel with Sr. Producer Chris Wynn and Sr. Gameplay Programmer Pete Knepley.
Each week, one member from the Gears of War community will be chosen to be the Epic Reaper. Members will be chosen based on their contributions to the community.
The Epic Reaper has special abilities and physics so he’s not very easy to kill. If you do manage though, you will be rewarded with the Reaper medal and custom weapon skin!
The person who is chosen as Reaper will receive a set of custom Gears of War: Judgement dog tags.
Epic devs will also have the Reaper skin available, so if you kill them, it will count towards the medal and skin.

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag will arrive in time for Christmas 2013
Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the next installment in the company’s best-selling franchise. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag introduces an all new hero and setting, and will feature the most diverse and seamless Assassin’s Creed world ever created.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be released on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, PlayStation 4 from Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., Nintendo’s Wii U system, Windows PC and other next generation consoles from October 31, 2013.
“With the new hero and new setting we are creating the boldest and most unique Assassin’s Creed game yet, while still respecting the pillars of the franchise that have made it such a fan favourite,” said Yves Guillemot, chief executive officer at Ubisoft. “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is based on a true, harsh and exciting part of a legendary era and will thrill longtime fans and newcomers alike.”
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag tells the story of Edward Kenway, a young British man with a thirst for danger and adventure, who falls from privateering for the Royal Navy into piracy as the war between the major Empires comes to an end. Edward is a fierce pirate and seasoned fighter who soon finds himself embroiled in the ancient war between Assassins and Templars. Set at the dawn of the 18th Century, the game features some of the most infamous pirates in history, such as Blackbeard and Charles Vane, and takes players on a journey throughout the West Indies during a turbulent and violent period of time later to become known as the Golden Age of Pirates.
Gameplay in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is based upon the franchise’s proven tenets. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag features a vast open world with more than 50 navigable locations. Combat combines the weaponry of the Assassin’s Order with armaments of the era, and rewards both daring and stealth. Customers who purchase Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 can download 60 minutes of additional gameplay via the PlayStation Network after the game’s launch.

Call of Duty Championship - it’s your last chance to enter!
Just a friendly reminder - the ANZ online qualifiers for the Call of Duty Championship are happening this weekend, 2-3 March.
Seven teams will be vying for a chance to attend the Australian and New Zealand Call of Duty Final, plus a NZ-only qualifier will see an eighth team join others who will all compete in Sydney.
Complete with a classic Australia. vs. New Zealand showdown, the top two teams at the final will earn the right to battle and compete against some of the best Call of Duty players in the world.
There is still plenty of time to get a team together and register. Make sure you don’t miss - there is a whooping $1 million up for grabs for the winning team!
